DST Scholarship－社團法人台灣國際達克羅士音樂節奏研究學會 Dalcroze Society of Taiwan

In order to encourage the study of Dalcroze Eurhythmics, the DST provides the DST scholarship, DST Cultivation Program of Intern Teacher of Dalcroze Eurhythmics Scholarship and Tseng Ming-Yih Memorial Scholarship, named in honor of one of the DST’s founder, the Tseng family, to award people who have demonstrated special and advanced achievements during their studies. The scholarships and requirements are described below:

『Dalcroze Society of Taiwan Scholarship』Awards

College or University Students	NT$12,000 USD$413 CHF382 EUR€315 (Dec. 5, 2012) /person 2 recipients in total (every year)	Candidates must have a grade of at least 85 in Dalcroze Teaching Methods; one piece of excellent music artistic creation work per semester, two pieces per year. For the judging, the DST invites a leading authority from music and educational field to choose the winners in an open selection process. The winners are announced upon approval by the directors and supervisors of our society.	Target: Two recipients from the National Hsinchu University of Education, one or two recipients from the Taipei Municipal University of Education and/or one or two recipients from the Soochow University who are studying Dalcroze Teaching Methods. Three recipients in total.
Children (Grade 1~6)	NT$2,600 USD$90 CHF83 EUR€68 (Dec. 5, 2012) /person 8~12 recipients in total (every year)	In addition to one piece of excellent improvised piano work; the recipient should have great personality and an excellent improvised piano work in the concert held by the DST. The standards and procedure is the same as above.	Target: Priority given to the children of the members selected previously.

『DST Cultivation Program of Intern Teacher of Dalcroze Eurhythmics Scholarship』 Awards

Member of “Cultivation Program of Intern Teacher of Dalcroze Eurhythmics”	NT$30,000 USD$1,033 CHF956 EUR€787 (Dec. 5, 2012) /person1 recipient(every year) since 2008, none of candidates have been qualified.	Selection standard： Awarded with certificate of the intermediate- or advanced-level of the “Cultivation Program of Intern Teacher of Dalcroze Eurhythmics” The teacher of the DST’s children music class (includes the teaching research institutes recognized by the DST). TOEFL 500 （173）and basic listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities. Have strong ambition and faith in becoming a Dalcroze teacher. Selection and judging procedure： The Director of the DST Dalcroze Program, Mindy Shieh, will provide the selection list, to be passed by the council and supervisors of the society after being tested by the Dalcroze master invited by the DST. The obligation of the recipient is to the DST.	Target：Any member or intern teacher who has taken the “Cultivation Program of Intern Teacher of Dalcroze Eurhythmics” held by the DST and passed the exam with high grades and has the desire to go to the Longy School of Music in Boston, the Dalcroze School of Music in New York, The Hoff-Barthelson Music School in New York, The Diller-Quaile School of Music in New York, and go on to study in the cooperative school above.

『Tseng, Ming-Yih Memorial Scholarship』Awards

Member of“Cultivation Program of Intern Teacher of Dalcroze Eurhythmics”	NT$200,000 USD$6,876 CHF6,370 EUR€5,245 (Dec. 5, 2012) /person1 recipient (1 recipient every two or three years, but additional special cases may be awarded to these qualifying between regular awards)	Selection standard：Awarded with certificate of the intermediate- or advanced-level of the “Cultivation Program of Intern Teacher of Dalcroze Eurhythmics”. Be the teaching assistant of the DST’s children music class for at least two years. TOEFL 500 （173）and basic listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities. Have strong ambition and faith in becoming a Dalcroze teacher. Intent to study in the leading Dalcroze institutes, such as the Longy School of Music, the Dalcroze School of Music in New York, The Hoff-Barthelson Music School in New York, The Diller-Quaile School of Music in New York .
