The Taiwanese Dalcroze Journal
Under my supervision and editorship, the first issue of The Dalcroze Eurhythmics Monthly Journal appeared in April 1994. It continued uninterrupted for two years, followed, in 1999, by The Taiwanese Dalcroze Journal, which publishes reports and essays by our members on music composition, music appreciation, piano improvisation, lesson planning, workshop materials, seminars and translations of writings by Dalcroze masters. Beginning in 2006, the Journal was changed from paperback into CD-ROM format. The audience for this journal is not limited to our members. We also use it as a channel both to provide Taiwan’s music teachers with new teaching materials and to encourage them to pursue work in this discipline.

In 1998, Dalcroze Eurhythmics was turned into an elective course for undergraduate studies (followed by the new regulations of the Ministry of Education), then respectively for graduate studies in 2006. The Music Education Departments of the Taipei University of Education made it an elective course in their undergraduate program from 1994 until 2006, and in their graduate program from 2006 until 2007. The Music Department of the Soochow University introduced Dalcroze Eurhythmics as an elective course in 2004.

Acknowledgments
We would like to express our profound gratitude to the individuals who serve on our Board of Directors, Supervisors, Advisors and who have supported our organization despite great demands upon their time and energy. Without them, we would not have been able to build the Dalcroze program or establish the Dalcroze Society of Taiwan.
